Residential punch lists · Invite-only founding cohort

The punch list opens with a link.

Walk the house, add the work, and send one project link to the crew. They return finished photos. You review each item and keep the closeout record. The app works in English and Spanish and can be used offline.

Crew link

Private crew link Example

Crew members open this link in their browser. No account or download is required.

How it works

Share the project, add the work, review completion.

Each project has role-based links, a shared list of work items, and a review step before an item is complete.

01 · Project access

Share a crew link and a homeowner link.

Each link opens one project with the permissions assigned to that role.

  • No guest account is required. The project opens in a web browser.
  • Each link is limited to one project and role. Crew and homeowners see only what their role allows.
  • Replace a link to end access. The old link and its sessions stop working.

02 · Work items

Add items during the walkthrough.

Add one item at a time, or take several photos and label the drafts later. Add the work note and trade when they are useful.

  • Bulk photos create draft items. Each photo becomes a separate draft that can be labeled before publishing.
  • Photo markup is separate. Circles and arrows do not alter the stored photo.
  • Assign the trade. Filter the project to see the work for each crew.

03 · Review

Crew submits. Builder verifies.

Crew members submit finished work with a note and photo. The Builder verifies it or sends it back with a reason. A homeowner can also say that an item needs more work, but cannot verify completion.

  • Only the Builder verifies completion. Submission and verification are separate states.
  • Sending work back requires a reason. The reason remains attached to the item.
  • The finished photo stays with the item. The request and completed work can be reviewed together.

Crew

Cleaned and re-sealed the pan. Ran water 10 minutes, no pooling.

Ready for review

Builder

Checked it against what was reported. Closed.

Complete

Needs more work

“Still hazy along the north seam.” The item returns to open with the reason attached.

Language

English and Spanish.

Menus are written in both languages. User-entered project text is translated automatically. The source text remains available and controls if a translation differs from it.

Questions

Common questions.

Can anyone sign up?

Not yet. We are setting up the first workspaces directly with a small group of residential builders. Use the invitation request to tell us about your work.

Do crew members need an account or app?

No. Crew members and homeowners open a project link in their browser. An account and app download are not required.

Can the app be used offline?

Yes. Items, notes, and photos queue on the device and sync when service returns. Conflicting edits are flagged instead of overwritten.

How does translation work?

The interface is written in English and Spanish. User-entered text is translated automatically. The source text remains available and is authoritative. The Builder is responsible for reviewing material instructions.

What can be exported?

The Builder can export one project at a time. Each export includes a readable English or Spanish PDF and a data package with the available history and stored photos.

Does it do scheduling, estimating, or invoicing?

No. Carbide List handles the punch list and closeout record.

What happens when a paid plan ends?

Project access pauses. The workspace owner has 30 days to view and export the data. Active project data and photos are then deleted under the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
